Broadcast from the department of the obvious:

Four glasses of wine on an almost empty stomach is not a good plan. No matter how many packets of salt and vinegar McCoys you eat after the second glass.

I spent a great evening with my friend Kath (Hi Kath!) but drank faaaaarrrr too much and boy am I feeling it today. I'm not really a big drinker anymore. At most I tend to have a couple of glasses and that's it. Mostly I'm driving, so don't drink. Last night that was not the case.

It's 1pm and I'm still in my dressing gown, still not making any sudden moves because my body can't cope with the vertigo of moving too quickly and the excess of visual input. I can't even remember the last time I had a hangover like this. So much for productivity huh? Alcohol is bad!

Fry up! Fry up! It fixes anything, Laura girl.

Or, if you can't summon the energy, get one of your mates to bring you a Snickers. That always helps me.

It was a great night! I must say I felt remarkably chirpy this morning despite the zealous consumption of half a vineyard. I think it was the late night macdonalds I had on the way home! Yay for choc mint milkshake.. it obviously has unknown hangover preventative qualities!

Here's to the next night out

I agree - anything really greasy and preferably loaded in fat. I also recommend Gatorade, some pain killers and a nap. Then you'll feel better!

Next time, eat McDonalds on the way home, or drink lots and lots of water. I find those two things, specifically, tend to help.

Cheer up, emo kid! :)

Yeah I have had those nights a few times too. Somehow though next time someone is opening a bottle of wine you tend to forget how deathly ill you were the last time. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I like your blog, and your list of 100.

Please don't ever say that again - "Alcohol is bad."

Thanks for your comments, guys. I ended up ordering myself a pizza as I had little to no food in the house and wanted something that would not involve me leaving the house in my current state.

I still felt rough until I went to bed last night though, yikes!

RWA, I have to say, alcohol and I are a definitely on a break. We need to take some time out and reassess our relationship. Maybe, in time, we can be friends again. Ha ha.
